Club members, Here is the last little things you need for the meeting. 1) Don't forget stuff for Ronald McDonal House. It will go right to my trunk. 2) We will be meeting at St. John's Church at 7PM for our speaker Bobbi Holmes from the Douglas Cty Ext Office. She will be speaking on Rain Gardens, Rain Barrels, and Storm Water Conservation. 3) We will be discussing Bennington Daze, so be thinking of float ideas and something to sell in the park. 4) All chairmen will be asked to say something about your committee
Hello Fellow Club Members, I may send out an extra newsletter later, but there was stuff to get out now so this may be it. This month is donations to Ronald McDonal House so here is their Wish List from the Website. I am sure you can come up eith other similar items if need be. Every one should be able to find something on this list. That is why I wanted to get it out early enough for every one to go shopping. In celebration of National Volunteer Week, St John's Lutheran Church is recognizing volunteers that serve in the Bennington community. On Sunday April 26th they will be reading all of your names and lifting up prayers of praise at the 8:30 and 11:00 worship services on behalf of you who give your time and talents to serve our community. Please plan to attend. We will talk about it more at the meeting. Hopefully all of you have received your Clubwoman newletter containg information about State Convention May 21-23 in Columbus. Hopefully some of you are planning on attending. The club will pay for your registration and you can pay for your meals and rooms. Contact me if you are planning on going so we can work out rooms. We need to get them reserved. You can bring a filled out registration form to the meeting and they can all be sent in together. But rooms should be reserved now. We can talk more at the meeting. I will have extra registration forms at the meeting. This is a great way to see how the State is run and what goes on in the rest of the state. Thank you to those who helped clean the library. There was 7 of us who worked 2 hours and we had it smelling really good. Arbor Day planting of the tree I believe is April 24th at 11Am. Complete with poster contest is being don up by Bev V and Denise K. I don't have all the details but they should be coming out soon so some of you can attend. Our next meeting is April 23rd at the "clean" community room at 7PM. Hostesses are Pat Smith and Kama Pfister. Meditation by Janie Frahm.
